Greenwood Academy was established in 1998 with a mission to serve the educational needs of underprivileged children who would otherwise have no access to quality education. From its inception, the academy has stood as a pillar of hope, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder a child’s right to learn and grow. Over the years, we have provided free education to numerous needy students while charging nominal fees to those who can afford it, enabling us to sustain and expand our reach.
Our school is recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (Recognition No. 66743), ensuring that our students receive a structured and accredited education. Additionally, we are a registered body with the Government of Manipur through the Cooperative Society Office and are officially recognized under the Registration of Societies Act XXXI of 1860 (Registration No. 288 of 1990). These credentials reinforce our commitment to upholding high academic standards while maintaining a compassionate and inclusive approach to education.

For over two decades, Greenwood Academy has stood as a beacon of hope for children who dare to dream beyond their circumstances. Since our humble beginnings in 1998, we have remained steadfast in our belief that education is not a privilege but a fundamental right – one that can break the cycle of poverty and empower generations.
At Greenwood, we do not merely teach; we nurture resilience, curiosity, and compassion. Every child who walks through our doors carries a unique story, and it is our sacred duty to ensure they leave with the tools to rewrite their futures. Whether it is providing free education to those in need or charging minimal fees to sustain our operations, our goal remains unchanged:Â no child should be denied learning.
I am immensely proud of our students – many of whom, despite facing immense hardships, have gone on to excel academically, pursue higher education, and become role models in their communities. This is the Greenwood legacy: transforming lives through unwavering dedication and collective effort.
